Maggie has spent almost the entirety of her 20+ year career in the association sector. For the last decade, she led digital communications for associations including the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, the American Psychological Association and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, among others. She is passionate about the ways social media can help organizations build awareness of and community around issues important to practitioners and individuals alike; likewise, she understands the challenges inherent in marrying digital and traditional tactics in often change-averse organizations.
Maggie is also an avid reader and movie-goer (she’s seen 524 movies in the past decade…in the theater), a blogger of more than a decade, mom to two almost-grown kids, a wife and a dog lover who is trying to build one dog out of multiple cats (so far it’s not working).
