A few months ago, we submitted our friends at The Vinetta Project for consideration for a Communitas Award for the work they do to support female tech founders, using a video we made at one of their showcase events.
They won! We were so excited for them that we wrote about it here.
Next Wednesday, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to present them with the (very snazzy looking) trophy at their June Venture Challenge Showcase event.
In case you missed the video, here it is:
This year, the Vinetta Project’s DC Chapter has partnered with GSP Financial Services and Paley Rothman to host a third annual Venture Challenge. Wednesday’s event will showcase the four semifinalists, two of whom will move on to the final showcase in September. The winning founder will take home $20,000 in cash.
Amelia Friedman, COO/Co-founder of DC-based tech startup Hatch Apps and member of the Vinetta Project’s DC Chapter team, will be hosting Wednesday’s event at the Booz Allen Innovation Lab. A panel of judges will ask tough questions and deliver actionable feedback, then select two founders to move on to the final showcase in September.
In case you’d like to rub elbows with entrepreneurs, venture influencers, young professionals and service providers who all see the massive growth potential for investing in female founders–not to mention say hi to us and support an awesome cause–there’s still time to register to attend.
